The development of globalization requires the academic community to be involved in process of social change that is massively changing the character of society. Theoretically what is needed is formation of participation models that can place academics and stakeholders in constructive social space. Participatory social process requires knowledge that can comprehensively encourage better change. Synergy between institutions, both from the bureaucratic body and from the private sector, is envisioned to be an ideal level that is able to oversee a common goal, namely to realize social life that is socially and equitable oriented.
In order to support the University of Jember in the research program, the “Advanced Studies On Socio-Economy Development (A-SEED)” wants to hold a national seminar. Philosophically, A-SEED aims to build a praxis of knowledge based on the need to encourage the formation of an emancipatory, transparent and socially just society, which is realized through responsible and sustainable development.
Considering the regulation and the importance of increasing the number of publications, the Advanced Studies on Socio-Economy Development (A-SEED) of the University of Jember will hold a National Seminar called the 1st National Conference on Social-Economy Developmet (NAC-SED).
